Land Acknowledgement

We respectfully acknowledge that the Municipality of Centre Hastings is situated in the Territory and the Treaty 27 lands of the Anishinabek Nation. We also acknowledge and recognize the traditional territory of the Huron Wendat and the Mississauga Nations. The Municipality of Centre Hastings (and surrounding municipalities in Marmora and Lake, Peterborough, and Northumberland Counties) are home to many First Nations, Metis, and Inuit people who live on our land today. We are proudly
grateful for the opportunity to give Indigenous people the power and opportunity to change Mother Earth for the better, and to share cross-cultural experiences and teachings to each other. May we honour these teachings.
